ICUdata4EU General Assembly on Crete, Greece

From 9 to 11 September, the ICUdata4EU consortium will meet in Crete, Greece, for its second general assembly. Partners from across Europe will come together for three days of coordination, exchange, and strategic alignment.

The meeting takes place at the halfway point of the project. As ICUdata4EU moves further into its implementation phase, the focus is shifting from building foundational infrastructure towards deployment, validation, and early real-world application across participating sites.

Over the course of the general assembly, consortium partners will review progress across all work packages, including technical development, regulatory and ethical frameworks, data privacy and security, and initial use case activities.

Beyond technical progress, the partners will also engage in an open dialogue on broader strategic issues related to coordination, sustainability, and the next steps for development in a rapidly changing European health data landscape.

The general assembly reflects the ongoing effort to translate a shared European vision for critical care data into a functioning, interoperable reality — enabling secure collaboration, clinical research, and future innovation across Europe.
